Welcome to Alaizza’s digital anthology of her travels & adventures, adulting, and everything in between.

My name is Alaizza Quiozon, and I’m a mid-twenties Filipina celebrating the world — and finding my place in it. I officially started this site in March 2018, amidst losing almost every single thing and living a life of purpose & meaning.

But first things first…

1. Let’s get to know each other:

Southern Cebu roadtrip | February ‘17

You might be wondering who the person is behind these stories — that’s me, in my natural habitat. I have a thing for traveling, motorbikes, adrenaline rush, and that wild & free feeling.

If you haven’t read My Story yet, that’s a perfect place to learn more about my travel (and my career) journey and how everything started.

Also, feel free to send me a note and say hello, either via leaving a comment or by sending me an e-mail to alaizzaquiozon@gmail.com.

I’d love to hear from you!

2. Why I started this personal website:

I take great pleasure in writing random jottings, creating stories, and making handwritten love letters — I had some of them posted on my Tumblr account almost a decade ago.

And then, life happened.

Sometime in 2016, someone special at the time believed in my creative writing & story-telling skills so much and tried to convince me to “blog” about my adventures — but I didn’t.

However, I started to write again, but mostly for a travel website, some fashion designers, an online magazine, and as a ghost writer.

To create for the joy of creating — not for the pursuit of perfection.

Fast-forward to 2018, I unexpectedly went through some sort of a proper quarter-life crisis. My first instinct was: to create something for myself — to have something I can call my own whatever happens.

Cliché, but, I was lost and uncertain… until I decided to push the negativities aside, generate a WordPress account, and share my first ever very personal diary-style entry.

3. How we can connect:

I share updates on my Instagram and on my Facebook Page.

I write at my own pace but I try to post at least once a month on this site.

I currently have a 9-5 job in China, so please bear with me! *wink*

4. My site’s key highlights:

When I think of which stories to highlight, my mind keeps circling back to a singular theme: Homecoming

I’ve been solo traveling on a shoestring budget & living abroad as an expat, and at the heart of my journey, I had been looking to find home — both in the world, and more importantly, in myself.

Currently working on: Female Expat Diaries, China Takeaway, and INSPINOY: Find A Way, or Make One

I found home because I stopped looking for it in other people.

I found home because I had been broken apart and I have put myself back together.

And that’s how you build a home.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Again, I’d love to hear from you!

For now, put the kettle on, brew yourself your favorite cup of coffee, and get comfortable.

I’m glad you’re here.
